We are proud to announce La Castellamonte‘s participation in Argillà Italia, the prestigious International Ceramics Festival of Faenza. On this occasion, we will feature in an exclusive exhibition titled “The Fire of Art: Artisanal and Designer Stoves by La Castellamonte”, an exhibition pathway where heat meets creativity, master craftsmanship, and contemporary art.

On display:

  • “Upside Down” by Mirco Denicolò: A fascinating work which tells a story engraved directly on ceramic, where everyday objects float in a world turned upside down by a gust of wind, while fire burns at the heart of the stove.
  • “Item n°1” by Gabriele Bucci: A unique, one-of-a-kind edition of our Round Stack stove, in which the artist clothes the ceramic material with marks, chromatic narratives, and textures that dig into an ancient object to offer new possibilities.
  • “Round Stack Side” by Adriano Design: Accompanying the two artworks, we will also exhibit this icon of modern minimalism, designed by the historic Turin studio. A perfect synthesis of modular aesthetics, clean technology, and essential geometric forms.

The exhibition represents the very essence of La Castellamonte: combining the centuries-old tradition of Piedmontese ceramics with the most modern heating technologies, proving that a stove can cease to be merely a functional object and become a true masterpiece of master craftsmanship.

What is Argillà Italia

Argillà Italia is the International Ceramics Festival and Market-Exhibition held every two years in Faenza (on the first weekend of September).

Established in 2008, the event transforms the city’s picturesque historic center—considered one of the world capitals of majolica—into a true international crossroads for ceramic artists, professionals, and enthusiasts. Alongside a vast market-exhibition where visitors can discover excellence in contemporary ceramic craftsmanship and design, the festival features a rich program of cultural events, including exclusive exhibitions, outdoor kiln firings, lectures, workshops, and the famous Mondial Tornianti (World Potters’ Wheel Championship).
