Art meets the tradition of Castellamonte in a unique work: Upside Down, a story etched onto a ceramic stove by Mirco Denicolò, an internationally renowned master ceramist, researcher and lecturer.

Discover how this unique work came about, in the words of the master himself:

Someone left the door open, a gust of wind blew in and the world was turned upside down: the objects that had been safely placed on the shelf turned upside down, a door opening onto a night-time landscape became a window, a millstone and an egg appeared from who knows where, but, above all, white cloths, strips of paper and scrolls we didn’t know we had in the house began to fly through the air.

Upside Down is a celebration of objects floating through the air whilst, in the heart of the stove, the fire burns and the heat spreads
